Productions Nutcracker Children and adults have been fascinated with the tradition and fantasy of The Nutcracker for decades, and North Shore School of Dance is proud to present an annual production every December. Hopeful dancers from the North Shore and surrounding suburbs audition in September, and over 50 are cast, including adults and professional dancers. The hour long ballet is appropriate for children of all ages, and it sells out every year. The holiday spirit is present at the events with boxes to donate to Toys for Tots, a bake sale with proceeds going to NSSD’s scholarship fund, and a Nutcracker Boutique selling themed jewelry, snow globes, and handmade nutcrackers.

Pre-Dance Showcase Click here to download Schedule Click here to download the Showcase Information Letter In May, pre-dance division students (ages 3-6) will have the opportunity to showcase what they have learned throughout the year in an informal stage performance. Dancers are provided with a tutu and headpiece that is included in your class registration fee. There are no tickets required to attend and please be sure to bring your video cameras! We ask you to remember that there is no flash photography during performances as it is dangerous and distracting to the dancers. Spring Concert Memorial Day weekend plays host to our Annual Spring Concert. Dancers in the student division perform choreography that they learn in their weekly classes in a formal on stage performance, complete with costumes and professional lighting. Participation is optional and additional participation and costume fees do apply. Please remember that no video cameras or flash photography are permitted in the theatre. Professional videos of each performance will be available for purchase.
Spring Production For the first time in spring 2008, North Shore School of Dance will present a spring production (program yet to be determined). This production will feature classical ballet, jazz and Modern repertoire, performed by the new North Shore Repertory Dance Company. Please check back for Program and Ticket information.
