Spring Ballet 2026

May 2nd & 3rd 2026

North Shore Ballet Theatre (NSBT) performance group presents a Spring Ballet designed to delight audiences of all ages. Originating in 2010, NSSD began producing a short, one-act ballet to showcase the talented dancers of NSBT. Since 2025, these productions have expanded into full-length ballets, continuing to feature our NSBT dancers while also including more of our students.

Ballet Theatre dancers are cast in a variety of roles to bring beloved children’s stories to life. Past productions include The Wizard of Oz, Little Red Riding Hood, Alice in Wonderland, and The Little Mermaid. The Spring Ballet has been featured in both the Pre-Dance Showcase and NSSD’s Spring Concert.  Tickets go on sale soon!

A Magical Forest Ballet

Get ready for a magical adventure filled with mystery, friendship, danger, and a whole lot of heart!

In a quiet village, Snow White’s life changes forever when the jealous Evil Queen sends a huntress to the village to find her. Forced to flee, Snow White finds herself lost among towering trees and shadowy paths. After a terrifying encounter, just when all hope seems lost, she is guided by a mysterious spirit of Fate who leads her deeper into the enchanted forest.

But the forest isn’t just dark and frightening — it’s full of wonder! Snow White soon discovers laughter, courage, and unexpected friendship when she meets seven lively miners. Together they share joyful days, music, and plenty of fun, and Snow White begins to feel at home.

Yet excitement is never far away… While the miners are hard at work, the Evil Queen returns in disguise, offering Snow White a beautiful — but poisoned — apple. With one bite, Snow White falls into a deep enchanted sleep, and it seems all hope is lost.

Or is it?

With the help of some clever squirrels and the power of true friendship, a daring rescue unfolds.

Can Snow White be awaken? Will goodness triumph over evil?

Join us for a spellbinding retelling of Snow White — a story of bravery, destiny, friendship, and the magic that reminds us light always shines through the darkness. Perfect for kids and grown-ups alike, this is a fairy tale adventure you won’t want to miss!

What an outstanding  performance and production you put on today…congratulations to you both. Jessica you have  a beautiful voice. It was amazing to me , because I know how difficult it is to sing after you danced so beautifully. Soren , words cannot express how creative you are,  not just in your production alone, but with your sense of humor as well.  Every detail was covered. The audience thoroughly enjoyed  every minute. You both were and are a huge success!

We have not stopped talking about how amazing the production last night was. We were absolutely shocked to see the dress come down from the ceiling, and everyone thought it was a blast to have the dancers interacting with the audience. The singing at the end was so special.

Beyond putting on a professional level show, the dancers clearly had great direction and focus- a testament to you and everyone at NSSD. I am so grateful that Viviene is a part of a community like this. Thank you!
